First-time voter
Turning 18 or voting for the first time? Here is your full preparation path.
- ASAP
Check if you are registered using your name and date of birth at electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
- Before enrollment deadline
If not registered, file Form 6 online at voters.eci.gov.in. You must be 18 before the qualifying date.
- Before election day
Find your polling station address. Save the address and plan your route.
- Before election day

- 1 week before
Confirm your EPIC is in hand. If lost, apply for a duplicate or verify one of the 12 alternate IDs is ready.
- Before polling closes
Arrive at your polling station with your EPIC (or alternate ID). Join the queue, get inked, vote on EVM, verify VVPAT slip.
